FAQ

I am a residency and fellowship trained physical therapist, going above and beyond the standard doctoral degree of physical therapy education. During the additional 2 years of rigorous training, I was mentored by master clinicians and leaders in the profession, accelerating my clinical growth in differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning, and treatment. Having worked with some of the leading orthopedic surgeons in the south bay, I have years of experience in post-operative care, including meniscectomy/repair, ACL Reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, subacromial decompression, spinal fusion, microdiscectomy, Brostrom repair, etc. Furthermore, I have achieved board certification in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) after accumulating over 2000 hours of experience and passing a 6 hour long examination. Research studies have shown that physical therapists with my training and credentials require fewer visits and overall less cost to get patients better. All this say that I am dedicated to providing you the highest quality of care and to get you out of pain.

The traditional model of physical therapy looks like 2-3 sessions/week for 6-8 weeks with only 15 minutes with the therapist before being handed off to an aide and wasting time on ice/heat. At Renew Sports Rehab, each visit is one-on one, for one full hour, and in the privacy of your own home or office. This saves you money in the long run and gets you results faster. The concierge mobile model allows you to progress more rapidly because it is so individualized and treatment is conducted without the constraints of insurance payers. There’s no need to get a prescription from your primary care physician – you can start right away!

Furthermore, you have direct access to me so you can reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have. I will provide an email and number that you can expect a response within a day. You will also have continuity of care – I will be the same PT treating you from start to finish. You won’t be passed from PT to PT with conflicting treatment approaches like at larger clinics with busy schedules.

I treat a wide variety of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries – from bunions to headaches and everything in between, including postoperative care after surgery, low back pain, sciatica, rotator cuff/labral tears, meniscus/ACL tears, ankle sprains, etc. As an athlete myself, I am well attuned to the demands of playing a sport and have been fortunate to work with collegiate athletes and professional athletes the NBA, EPL, AVP, and IBJFF Jiu-Jitsu, as well as dance and performing artists.

Nope! In California, there is direct access, meaning you can be treated by a physical therapist for 12 visits or 45 days, whichever comes first, before needing a physician prescription for PT. The great news is that most people don’t need that long to achieve their goals!

The process is simple. I just need a brief intake, a few signed forms, and the motivation to get better! All of the paperwork can be done in advance.

I work for YOU, not THEM! I am out-of-network and do not have contracts with any insurance companies. However, I would be happy to provide a superbill after each session for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. The concierge-based model allows me to not only provide the best care possible without the constraints of the insurance companies, but also focus on getting you better and achieving your goals much more quickly.

At Renew Sports Rehab, we pride ourselves on providing superior care for your individual needs, giving you the ONE-ON-ONE time you deserve. For us to accept insurance and stay in business, we would be forced to see multiple patients at a time, diminishing the quality of your care. We VALUE YOU, putting an emphasis on world-class QUALITY and efficient RESULTS. This means you will get better, FASTER. At Renew Sports Rehab, you spend the ENTIRE session with a WORLD-CLASS Physical Therapist.

We are not volume-based or bottom-line driven, and when put in perspective of a general insurance-based clinic, you are spending an abbreviated 15 minutes with the Physical Therapist, and 45 minutes with the support staff, sometimes paying a co-pay as high as $75 for B-grade services! It is not all the fault of the clinic, as the insurance companies are making it difficult to survive through progressively lower and lower reimbursement rates, forcing Physical Therapists to see up to 20 patients per day.

At Renew Sports Rehab, there are no constraints to your care. You will receive one-on-one care from one of the best Physical Therapists in the world, who values your health as much as you do, and will get you back in the game quicker, stronger, and smarter.

The cost of services allows me to continue to provide the highest quality of physical therapy. If it is too much of a financial burden, please inquire about discounts or packages that are available.

I accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, and Paypal. Payment is due at the time of service.
